چکیده

The constant emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, due to continuous burning fossil fuels, has been driving researchers develop an environmentally friendly alternative fuel solution. An experimental investigation was conducted on a laboratory scale, evaluate physicochemical qualities, performance, emissions, and combustion characteristics sea mango oil biodiesel blends pure diesel single-cylinder, variable compression ratio (VCR) engine. Tests were at 1500 rpm, 210 bar, 23° bTDC, under varying loading circumstances 0, 3, 6, 9, 12 kgs, ratios 16:1, 17:1, 18:1, respectively. findings revealed that higher (CRs) improve emission, At CR BTHE, SFC, EGT improved by 8.78%, 11.18%, 2.52% more than standard (17:1). CO, HC, smoke emissions also lowered 14.65%, 18.56%, 11.56%, respectively, 18:1. NOx increased 6.77%. improved, with increase in CR. this show can be used as no engine modifications.

Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine fueled with Diesel-biodiesel-JP-4 Blends

The main objective of this research is to study the effects of JP-4-biodiesel-diesel fuel blends and operating parameters on the emission characteristics of a CI engine. The experimental tests were performed on a four-cylinder DI diesel engine. The Mixture-RSM method was used to develop mathematical models based on experimental data. The results showed that with the increase of the biodiesel pr...

Combustion, performance and emission characteristics of a DI diesel engine fueled with Brassica juncea methyl ester and its blends

In this study, mustard biodiesel (B100) was produced from low quality crude mustard oil and tested in a four-cylinder, direct-injection, diesel engine to investigate the combustion, performance and emission characteristics of the engine at different engine speeds and full load conditions. Biodiesel and its blends showed increased peak cylinder pressure and reduced ignition delay when compared t...

Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of OM314 Diesel Engine Combustion and Performance Characteristics Fueled with DME

Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) combustion is a pioneer method of combustion in which pre-mixed fuel and oxidizer (typically air) are compressed to the point of auto-ignition. HCCI engines can operate with most alternative fuels, especially, dimethyl ether (DME) which has been tested as a possible diesel fuel due to its simultaneously low NOx and PM emissions. In this paper a ...

Performance and Emission Characteristics of a Diesel Engine with Cottonseed Oil Plus Diesel Oil Blends

aIn the present study a 4-stroke 5hp diesel engine was tested with Diesel oil plus cottonseed oil blends. The blends in different proportions (10 to 50 percent by volume) were tested at constant speed of 1500 rpm. The said engine is operated at different loads and characteristics like Brake power, Brake thermal efficiency, specific fuel consumption etc. Engine performance for blends resulted in...

Performance and Emission Characteristics of Diesel Engine Fueled with Ethanol-Diesel Blends in Different Altitude Regions

In order to investigate the effects ethanol-diesel blends and altitude on the performance and emissions of diesel engine, the comparative experiments were carried out on the bench of turbo-charged diesel engine fueled with pure diesel (as prototype) and ethanol-diesel blends (E10, E15, E20 and E30) under different atmospheric pressures (81 kPa, 90 kPa and 100 kPa). The experimental results indi...
